Mira Beermann

Mira Beermann joined the BMBF-funded CroMa project as a research assistant at the Chair of Social Theory and Social Psychology at Ruhr-Universität Bochum in November 2018.

She studied statistics with a minor in psychology at TU Dortmund University. In 2013, she changed her major and completed her bachelor's degree in psychology at RUB. Her bachelor thesis focused on neurophysiological correlates in the regulation of aversive emotions. She also completed her Master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology at the RUB. In her master's thesis she dealt with the inter- and intraindividual influences of life events and non-occurring life events on personality.

In the CroMa project, her focus will be on investigating the measurability of emotions of people in crowds. This will be done with the help of subjective questionnaires but also with the help of objective physiological parameters.
