Nick Linsel has been a student research assistant at the Chair Sociology/ Transnationalisation, Migration and Work since 2022. His activities are in the area of literature research and preparation as well as support in the preparation of project proposals.
He is studying in the Master's program "Methods of Social Research" in Social Science. His main areas of study include migration, flight, violence and biographical research as well as the sociology of work. Prior to his current position, he worked at the former chair of Ludger Pries and in the DFG project "ForMOVe" from 2019 to 2022. He is currently also involved in the DFG project "Stay, return, or move on: Comparing the life strategies of forced migrants in the transit countries of Colombia, Jordan, Mexico, and Turkey".

Leif Tietz has been working as a student research assistant at the Chair Sociology/ Transnationalization, Migration and Work since 2022. He is responsible for the online presence and supports the chair team in their teaching and publication activities. As part of his Master's Degree in the programme "Methods of Social Research", Leif is mainly interested in research on migration, diversity and digitalization. He also works as a research assistant in the project "SAKuDA - A language assistance system for culturally and linguistically diverse elderly care" of the Junior Professorhip for Health and E-Health (Prof. Sebastian Merkel).
