The obligatory study trip to Brussels has become an integral part of the study program of ECUE. Once a year ECUE students visit the EU metropolis and gain insight into various EU-related topics, meeting experts from various fields. Students will have to pay a contribution to the costs of approximately 140 Euro (accommodation and breakfast). Arraival and departure is arranged individually. In total, students have to spend around 300 EUR for the study trip to Brussels.
The excursion’s agenda includes visits to the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the Council of the European Union. Depending on the respective topics chosen for the study trip, the group will visit political or economic interest groups, NGOs, think tanks, foundations. As part of the cultural program, visits to selected museums and a city tour are being offered. Furthermore, the students will gain the opportunity to meet former ECUE students working in Brussels and get information on possible prospective EU careers and life in Brussels.
