Working Student Positions

Working as a student in a company or organization can be a great way to gain valuable experience in your own industry, apply your studies in practice and earn money at the same time. However, there are some requirements and rules that must be observed:

• As a working student, you must be enrolled full-time at a university.
• During the lecture period, you may work a maximum of 20 hours per week in a company or organization. The amount of compensation is irrelevant. During the semester break, you may also work more hours.
• As a working student, neither you nor your employer pay contributions to health, unemployment and long-term care insurance for your employment. Only the pension insurance contribution is due.
