Teaching Staff Mobility

A stay abroad is a perfect opportunity to gain personal experience as well as to discover new ways of working and new methods for your own teaching. The Faculty of Social Sciences therefore supports all RUB teaching staff who would like to do an exchange (Outgoings) as well as all teaching staff from foreign faculties who would like to visit RUB (Incomings).

Outgoings

The Ruhr University Bochum provides funding for teaching mobility of the RUB's employees at European partner universities in order to enhance the cooperation. The teaching mobility can be pursued at the universities without the partner-status as well if the corresponding agreement will be signed between the universities. The stay of min. 2 days till max. 2 months can be funded within the Erasmus+ programme and should include 8 teaching hours per week at least (as lectures, block seminars etc.). You can get all the relevant information on the website of our international office. UNIC

Together with ten other universities across Europe, RUB forms the UNIC network (European University of Post-Industrial Cities). Within the network students, teachers, researchers and employees have the opportunity to do an exchange. You can find more information here.

Incomings

The Faculty of Social Science welcomes international researchers who intend a teaching mobility at RUB within the framework of our Erasmus+ partnerships. The faculty welcomes researchers from universities without the partner status as well if a corresponding agreement is signed between the universities. The mobility period may last 2 days till 2 months and has to include 8 teaching hours per week at least (as lectures, block seminars etc.). On the website of the European Commission you can find out more about the funding and the formalities of the exchange. Prospective participants apply directly at the International Office of their Home institution with a "Mobility Agreement".

Our Erasmus+ coordinator provides support in setting up the Mobility Agreement and organizing the mobility. Please apply early enough for us to be able to plan and announce your teaching activities (Please consider the academic calender of the University).
