Biography
Suzan van Dijk is a senior researcher at the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands. Her research in literature studies concerns the production of female authors and the reception of their work, including writers such as Belle van Zuylen (Isabelle de Charrière) and George Sand. She is responsible for the conception and establishment of the collective “Women Writers” database, which is financed by the Nederlandse organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek.
