Anne Witz war von 1985 bis 1986 Direktorin des Women’s Research Centre, University of Lancester, UK. Sie ist Gutachterin für die Verlage Sage, Routledge, Unwin Hyman, MacMillan und Taylor & Francis und war Mitherausgeberin der Zeitschrift der British Sociological Association (BSA) Sociology.
Forschungsschwerpunkte: Geschlecht und Professionen in der Medizin; Geschlecht, Körper und Sozialtheorie; Geschlechterverhältnisse in Organisationen.
