Biography
Monique David-Ménard is a philosopher and psychoanalyst who is a professor of philosophy at the École Normale Supérieure, Paris, France. She completed a doctorate in psychopathology and psychoanalysis at the Université Paris VII and a doctorate in philosophy at the Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris-III in France. Moreover, David-Ménard is director of the Centre D’ètudes du Vivant at the Institute de la Pensée Contemporaine at the University Paris-Diderot and a member of the Société de Psychanalyse Freudienne. In her research, she combines psychoanalytic theory with the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze.
